Christmas 2008

The holidays are finally comming to a close and we had suchm a good time. We were blessed to see most of our family and friends and spend theis joyus season with them. Brock was not too sure about Santa but he did have a good time opening his presents and playing with all his cousins. We had the Dahlquist side of the family over for Chiristmas Eve, I made Lasagna, Garlic Bread and a Salad. It turned out very nice! Christmas morning we all went to my parents for brunch and to open gifts and to see Santa!! Our friend Bob played santa for the little kids and they loved it!! Bob did an awsome job! After that we went to the Dahlquist Grandparetns houe fro presents and dinner and games.......that is always a good time. The Arrowood side of the family met at a hotel on Saturday night so the kids could swim and we didn't mess up anyones house!! Which I appreciated. Brock had a great time swimming and playing with all the cousins he rarley sees. I was completely exhausted by the end of the night but it was well worth it! It is hard to believe that next year at this time we wil have a 21/2 year old and a 9 month old.....oh boy how our lives have changed in the past couple years. It has been amazing watching Brock grow and change and we can't wait for the next 80 dasys to fly by so we can met the newest member of the Arrowood family!

Back from Vacation

Well, we made it back from vacation in one piece. We had one heck of a good time and the weather was nice for the most part! We spent 3 days in Florida and 6 days at sea. We left Fort Lauderdale, spent one day at sea, then Cozumel, then Belize, then 2 days at sea back to Fort Lauderdale. The weather in Cozumel was beautiful but Belize was rainy and humid. The boat was very nice and much better than the last one we went on in March!! The food was not the best which was very disappointing ot a pregnant lady. LOL !! Very nice to be back home thugh with my boys, I missed them alot. Brock was so excited to see me when he got up from his nap, I snuck in there and he had the biggest grina dn ran right over to me. My hubby even seemed excited to have me back home, I don't think that will last very long once I start hading out orders for chores again!! We did come home to 6" or so of snow which I could have done without.

The holidays are upon us!

It is hard to believe that it is almost Thanksgiving already! This year just is going by so fast. My mom took some very cute pictures of Brock in this Santa suit. He is very excited about Santa or as he says "Sante". We wil see how excited he is when it comes time to actually see him! We leave tomorrow for Green Bay for the Arrowood Thanksgiving, it should be a good time. Then I leave next Saturday morning with mom and Clarice for our cruise!! I am super excited and can't wait to get to some warmer weather! I can say, I'm a little nervous about leaving my boys home alone for 10 days. I know I wil miss them terribly!

It's a ............

Well, we had our Big Appointment today, the baby was measuring at 20w3d, right where it should be. It was weighing 12oz and 10" long. It moved all over the place and made the ultrasound tech work hard to find "its" genitals. When she did find them, it was very apparent that "it" is officially a boy! Daddy was completely estatic, since he wasn't too sure about a girl. As for me, I was excited, but so sad at the same time. I am actally tearing up just writting this, I wanted a girl with all me heart but I am very happy that he is healthy and growing like he needs to be. It will just take me a couple days to get used to it. There is an adorable picture of his face they gave us. He was yawning and moving all over. We had a cool shot of his legs from the hips down, it showed his femur and knees and eveything right down to his toes but she didn't send that picture home with us. Anyhow, Brock will be welcoming a little brother in March and we can't wait to meet him! As for me, I have the "all go" for my cruise in a couple weeks and I need a vacation. I'm thinking I will not be able to talk daddy into staying home with 2 little guys this time next year. This should be my last "girl" trip for quite a few years.

Happy Halloween

Oh, so Brock's first Halloween that he actually could participate in was a blast! He did very well witht he dressing up thing and he carried the candy bag pretty well too. He wasn't caring about getting the candy, he just liked walking the streets and playing in the leaves! We mainly just went by the grandparents, great grandparents and Aunts and Uncles houses. We then took a walk around town just to get out since the weather was so darn nice. We dresses Zoe up too, she was ess than impressed but Brock really enjoys walking her with the leash so it was worth it. We stopped by Joe and Tiff's to see Taylor in her Ladybug suit and Brock just wanted to give her kisses!

Weekend in Menomonee Falls & Colgate

It was so nice to get out of here for a weekend!!! We left Thursday and went ot aunt Karen's in Colgate. We ate dinner and played withthem Thursday night, Friday we bummed around Milwaukee and did some much needed Maternity Clothes shopping for me!! Friday night we went to Eric and Jenny's to spend some time with them and the kids and for Luke's 1st Birthday Party. They have this place called teh Big Back Yard, it is an indoor play area. It was very nice and Brock had a blast!! I think some of the Dad's had more fun than the kids did on the slides. Twig took Brock on one and when they shot out the bottom, Twig's butt landed about 4' from the end of the slide.....He played it up as "it was all good" but is ass hurt like hell the entire ride home! He got to play with his cousins on Dads side..Hailey, Jakob, Luke and Jack. He ran around for the entire 2 hours. We left to come home right after the party in hopes that he would sleep and the ride would be quiet..not so much. He slept from Milwaukee to Oshkosh and was up the rest of the way until we hit Hwy 8, 15 miles from home (not to mention this was at 11pm)

Ultrasound Pictures

Here is our little bean at almost 16 weeks. We had a little scare on Sunday but having seen this little moving around, it does make me feel much better. We will have another ultrasound in mid November for our organ scan and we should beable to find out the sex too! Baby's heartbeat was a2 152 BPM and it was moving all over the place. It was yawning and sucking it's thumb at times and we had a great face shot but I could not get it to scan well enough. So anyhow, Brock is doing great, he is sick again.....uuggghh. He now has chest cold so he is going to the dr today to have him checked out! He is talking up a storm, he loved to say "no momma please" anytime you ask him or tell him to do something that he doesn't want to. He picks up everything. He can say Grandma, Grandpa. Joe, Tiff, Jaime, Nick (sounds like ick) auntie, zoe (says zo zo) and most of all baby! He walks around lifting his short up touching his belly saying baby, then goes to whoever is around and trys to lift up their shirt to see their baby. Some people are not finding that so cute.

A day at work with Mom

So, Twig got called into work today so Brock got to spend the afternoon with me at work. Here are some picturesof our afternoon. He cleaned everything, all the fireplaces and the floor. He then decided to answer the phones and play on the computer! Wow, I should quit and let him bring home the paycheck!!

It was a very fun afternoon but exhausting also, he always must be touching something that he shouldn't. He points at every one of the fireplaces and says "hot" numerous times but then touches them anyhow just to see if they really are hot. Don't worry, I don't actually let him touch the ones that are burning!

Grammy's Munchkin

Michelle and Brock at the cabin. It's amazing to see the next generation enjoying the same thing their parents did. Michelle and Twig are wonderful parents and we are so excited that they will have another addition. Zoe was out at the cabin too, she loves it out there.

Officially a "Big Boy" Room

We took Brock's crib apart and made it into a Day Bed for him, it is wonderful! He crawls in to it all on his own at night and for naps, he takes your hand and his blankie and says "Nun night" and takes you to his room. He has not gotten out too many times because when he does, he can't crawl back in. (I'm scared he is going to fall out so I roll up a blanket and put it accross the front to block him from rolling out at night) he sleeps so much better and he likes to do everything by himself and I think that is why he enjoys goin got bed now.

So we brought is little slide thing in for the winter and that has been a big hit too!! Who knew moving a toy from outside to in would actually make him want to play on it?! He climbs up on it, yells for Zoe and she jumps up there and he laughs and laughs because she goes down the slide, he thinks it is great fun.

We had Taylor over on Sunday for a couple hours, how fast you forget the work a baby requires. We have had a couple months of Brock walking and wanting to do everything on his own that you forget how heavy those car seats are and the pain of bottle feeding. It was nice to get that cuddle time that Brock only wants on his terms now, she is up for cuddle all day long! She played on the floor for a little while before getting bored, then decided it was feeding time, then decided once her belly was nice and full she should take a nap. I wish my life was only so complicated!!

OB Appt & Pictures

Hi everyone!! We went to the Dr today, the baby's heartbeat was a very strong 145 BPM. It was moving all over the place. Brock did not know what to think of it, he did stop playing and listen for a second. I feel pretty good other than the headachs.

Brock is eating dinner while I write this and wanted his pictuere taken too! Ummm, Ravioli, pears and Goldfish. Nice dinner mom!

The leaves are really starting to change this week. Below are pictures from the house, one from the front deck and one from the back deck. The weather has been so nice the past week or so. It was 76 here today. It was windy but I wish it would stay like this for another month! We have so much stuff to do around the house before the snow falls, we did not move in last year before the snow so this is all new. They are saying that we are supposed to have a long, cold winter. Not what I was hoping for!

Hi Everyone

So, I have finally gotten the blog going! I will try to keep it updated on a weekly basis for all of you with pictures and posts of what is happening up here in the great northwoods!!

Here is a picture of Brock from the other day, he has these facial expressions latley that are hilarious!! You never know what you will get with him.

He is full of energy and talks up a storm!! You can understand alot of what he says. He is koko for his Grandpa's Wally and Jack. Grandpa Wally takes him on the 4 wheeler and trampoline so that always makes him smile. It is hard to believe he is 15 months old already.

So for Twig and I, not much is new, my belly seems to grow on a daily basis now!! We are 12 weeks along today, almost out of the worrying stage of pregnancy. This little bugger is causing much more haveck then Brocks did so hopefully it is a girl but either way, we just hope it is healthy. We will find out the sex in mid November, that will be an exciting day.

Here is a picture of Brock, Mason and Dominic playing at our house in August. It is hard to believe that Dominic is 3 1/2 already. Mason and Brock are only 10 weeks apart (Brock is older) but there is so much difference in their skill levels. Mason beat Brock by 3 months in the walking stage. Brock did not really walk until 13 months or so and Mason was up moving by 10 months, I can't say I minded waiting!! They do not get to see eachother very much but they do have fun when they can all play together. Ahh, my 3 little helliens!!

Welcome Taylor

Taylor Born: 9/9/08 7lbs 12.5oz 20" long

As most of you know, Joe and Tiff welcomed baby Taylor last Tuesday Morning. She is beautiful. I think she looks alot like Joe but I do see both of them in her.

Brocks is not too sure of why she can't throw the ball back yet! He just keeps giving it to her and waits....and waits...then gets all ticked off. It is quite comical. Here is a picture of her from last week.
