Happy New Year!! We had a wonderful 2009 and we are looking forward to the joys of 2010. Once again, we are behind on the updates so I'm going to do a whirl wind January!!
We had the joy of celebrating Grandma's 72nd Birthday in late January. It was a wonderful time and it was nice to have us all together with no kiddo's. That makes dinner so much quieter!!
Brock got to get on his Hockey skates for the first time on January 17th. He likes to be on them in the house but was not to sure about being on the ice. I put on my skates too for the first time on many years. It was fun and I know that I had more fun than Brock did at the rink! LOL.
Grandpa Wally put out some Beaver traps this year and he had some big helpers when it came time to go check them! I was extremely impressed that Brock and Dominic made the entire journey down tot he lake and back up by themselves. It was quite a hike but there was no complaining and they walked without being carried! They really liked the fact that they got to help grandpa get the beaver back to the truck! It's awesome to remember all the days of trapping with my dad when I was Brock's age and we are so blessed that he can spend the same quality time making memories with our children.
Well, miss Taylor was at the house a couple times this month. She and Brock are just hilarious to watch. They read books and jump on the bed like monkeys and play pretend now. I can't wait till Drayke is able to join them!!!
Brock is still in daycare a couple days a week and he really enjoys it. He has changed so much and so fast. He is coming up with the craziest sentences and can do this complete alphabet, count to 10, spell his name and tons of other things. He bring s us home lots of artwork and projects to hang around the house.
Drayke is just like Twig, so laid back and doesn't have a care in the world. He smiles all the time and just is so happy to be around people. I think back to he NICU days and can't believe that is was almost a year ago that we was born. He brings us more joy than I ever could have imagined. He is finally rolling over and moving a little more. He just had to do it in his own time frame I guess.
Well, can't think of much more now that was exciting in January so I will get February updated soon!!
